Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth, ketchup, brown sugar, lemon juice, steak sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined. (5 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

Pour half of the sauce mixture into a 5-quart slow cooker. Season the beef roast with salt. Place the beef into the slow cooker and then cover with the remaining sauce. (5 minutes)

03

Step
12 hrs

Cook on Low heat for 10 to 12 hours, or until the beef is extremely tender and easily shredded. Once cooked, transfer the beef to a cutting board and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker to soak up the remaining sauce. (10-12 hours)

04

Step
5 mins

Using a slotted spoon, generously pile about 1/2 cup of the shredded beef mixture onto each sandwich bun. Serve immediately and enjoy! (5 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a tablespoon of smoked paprika to the sauce.
Toast the sandwich buns for a better texture and to prevent them from getting soggy.
Serve with your favorite coleslaw, potato salad, or pickles for a complete meal.
The shredded beef is even better the next day, making it perfect for meal prepping.
If you don't have eye of round roast, you can substitute with chuck roast.
