Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly drizzle a large baking sheet with about 2 tablespoons of olive oil, ensuring even coverage. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a small sauté pan, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until translucent and softened, about 5-7 minutes. Incorporate the minced garlic and Italian seasoning; continue to sauté until the garlic is fragrant and softened, approximately 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly. (10 minutes)

03

Step

In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, milk, and the cooled onion-garlic mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Using your hands, mix the ingredients together swiftly and lightly. Avoid overmixing, as this can result in dense meatballs. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs. Arrange them evenly on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they have enough space to brown properly. (15 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the meatballs are beautifully browned and cooked through, about 30 minutes. For even browning, turn the meatballs over halfway through the cooking time, after approximately 15 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and your favorite sides. (30 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try browning the meatballs in a skillet before baking.
If you don't have Italian seasoning on hand, create your own blend using dried oregano, basil, rosemary, and thyme.
These meatballs freeze beautifully! Allow them to cool completely, then transfer them to a freezer-safe bag or container. They can be reheated directly from frozen.
