For an extra touch, sprinkle the tops of the loaves with turbinado sugar before baking. To prevent the tops from browning too quickly, tent the loaves with foil during the last 15 minutes of baking. This bread is even better the next day, after the flavors have had a chance to meld. Add chopped walnuts or pecans for added texture and flavor.
