Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, rum, strawberries, orange slices, lemon slices, and lime slices. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Gently push the whole cloves into the apple slices, ensuring they are securely embedded. Add the spiced apple slices to the pitcher. (3 minutes)

03

Step

Cover the pitcher tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the fruit to macerate. (4 hours - overnight)

04

Step

Before serving, remove the apple slices from the pitcher and discard the cloves. Return the now-infused apple slices to the sangria. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Fill tall glasses halfway with the sangria mixture, ensuring each glass receives a generous portion of the marinated fruit. (3 minutes)

06

Step

Top off each glass with the chilled lemon-lime soda, adjusting the amount to your desired level of sweetness and fizz. Stir gently to combine. (2 minutes)

07

Step

Garnish each drink with extra marinated fruit from the pitcher. Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly. (2 minutes)

For a sweeter sangria, add a tablespoon or two of simple syrup or agave nectar to the pitcher.
Experiment with different types of fruit, such as peaches, raspberries, or blueberries. Stone fruits like plums and cherries also work well.
If you prefer a less sweet sangria, use club soda or sparkling water instead of lemon-lime soda.
For a stronger sangria, add a splash of brandy or orange liqueur.
To prevent the sangria from becoming watered down, freeze some of the fruit and use it as ice cubes.
Make sure to use high-quality red wine for the best flavor. A young, fruity red wine is ideal.
Adjust the amount of rum to your preference. You can also substitute with another spirit, such as brandy or vodka.
