Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour 5 mini loaf pans or one standard loaf pan. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract, banana extract, and whiskey-honey liqueur. Set aside. (5 minutes)

03

Step

In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the bacon drippings. (8 minutes)

04

Step

Gradually add the banana mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. (3 minutes)

05

Step

Finely chop the cooked bacon. Gently fold the chopped bacon into the wet ingredients. (3 minutes)

06

Step

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. (2 minutes)

07

Step

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. (5 minutes)

08

Step

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pans, dividing evenly. (2 minutes)

09

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes for mini loaves, or 55-65 minutes for a standard loaf, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. (55 minutes)

10

Step

Let the bread cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. (10 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of brown sugar on top of the loaves before baking.
If you don't have bacon drippings, you can substitute with melted butter.
Feel free to experiment with different types of whiskey or liqueurs to customize the flavor profile.
To prevent the bacon from sinking to the bottom of the bread, toss it with a tablespoon of flour before folding it into the batter.
