For a milder flavor, remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeno pepper before mincing. If you prefer a smoother cheeseball, use an electric mixer to combine the ingredients. The cheeseball can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Roll in the cilantro (or other coating) just before serving to prevent it from becoming soggy.
