Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Break off 2-inch pieces of dough and flatten each piece as thin as possible without breaking using a rolling pin. (15 minutes)

03

Step

Spoon about 1 teaspoon turkey, 1 teaspoon stuffing, 1 teaspoon mashed potatoes, and 1 teaspoon vegetables onto each piece of flattened dough. (20 minutes)

04

Step

Gently close dough around filling, sealing edges together and forming a ball. Arrange filled dough balls in the prepared baking dish; sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. (10 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until dough balls are cooked through, 30 to 40 minutes. (40 minutes)

06

Step

Invert monkey bread onto a serving dish. (5 minutes)

For extra flavor, brush the dough balls with melted garlic butter before baking.
Feel free to substitute other leftover ingredients, such as ham or sweet potato casserole.
To prevent the bottom from getting too dark, place a baking sheet on the rack below the monkey bread.
This monkey bread is best served warm, but can also be reheated.

I added a little bit of sage to the dough before assembling, and it gave it a really nice Thanksgiving-y aroma.

Next time, I'm going to try using biscuit dough instead of bread dough for a flakier texture.

This was a huge hit! My kids loved pulling apart the bread and finding all the different Thanksgiving flavors inside.
