For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a splash of dry white wine to the vegetables while sautéing. Feel free to customize the vegetables to your liking. Diced apples or cranberries also make wonderful additions. If you prefer a moister stuffing, add a bit more chicken broth. For a drier stuffing, use less. To prevent the top from browning too quickly, cover the baking dish with foil during the last 15 minutes of baking.
