Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, water (or seafood stock), parsley, reserved clam juice, basil, oregano, thyme, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for at least 1 hour, or up to 2 hours for a richer flavor. Stir in the white wine gradually during the simmering process. (Simmer time: 60-120 minutes)

About 10 minutes before serving, gently stir in the clams, mussels, shrimp, cod, and scallops. Increase the heat slightly to medium. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mussels have opened (discard any that do not open), the shrimp are pink and opaque, the cod is cooked through and flakes easily, and the scallops are opaque and firm. (Cook time: 8-10 minutes)

Ladle the cioppino into bowls and serve immediately. Garnish with extra fresh parsley, if desired. Crusty bread is highly recommended for soaking up the delicious broth.
For a more intense seafood flavor, use seafood stock instead of water.
Feel free to add other seafood such as crab legs, lobster, or calamari.
Adjust the amount of red pepper to your liking.
Serve with a side of crusty bread for dipping into the flavorful broth.
For a thicker stew, you can add a tablespoon of tomato paste along with the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce.
Ensure all seafood is fresh and of high quality for the best flavor.
