For an even richer flavor, use a combination of Gruyere and Parmesan cheese. Add a layer of sautéed spinach or artichoke hearts for extra nutrients and flavor. If you don't have pimento peppers, diced roasted red peppers make a great substitute. This lasagna can be assembled a day in advance and refrigerated until ready to bake. Add 15-20 minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
