Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). (2 minutes)

02

Step

Sauté the Mushrooms: Place the sliced mushrooms in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes until softened. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Assemble the Sandwich: Spread 1 teaspoon of basil pesto evenly onto the bottom half of the hoagie roll. Layer the salami slices over the pesto, followed by the ham and pepperoni.

04

Step

Add Cheese and Toppings: Place 1 slice of provolone cheese over the meats. Top with the sautéed mushrooms and sliced black olives. Add the remaining slice of provolone cheese.

05

Step

Finish and Air Fry: Spread the remaining 1 teaspoon of pesto on the other half of the hoagie roll and place it on top of the sandwich. Carefully place the assembled sandwich in the air fryer basket.

06

Step

Cook to Perfection: Air fry until the cheese is melted, gooey and the salami is crisp, approximately 5 minutes. (5 minutes)

07

Step

Serve Immediately: Remove from the air fryer, slice if desired, and serve immediately. Enjoy your gourmet air-fried sandwich!

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of garlic powder to the mushrooms before air frying.
Feel free to experiment with different cheeses, such as mozzarella or fontina, to find your perfect combination.
If you prefer a softer bread, lightly brush the outside of the hoagie roll with olive oil before air frying to prevent it from becoming too crispy.
To spice things up, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a drizzle of hot sauce to the sandwich before cooking.
