Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Gather all ingredients. (5 minutes)

02

Step
10 mins

In a saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is completely dissolved. (10 minutes)

03

Step
5 mins

Remove from heat. Add raspberries and tea bags to the saucepan. Gently crush the raspberries with the back of a spoon to release their flavor. (5 minutes)

04

Step
5 mins

Let the tea steep for 5 minutes, or until it reaches your desired strength. Remove tea bags. (5 minutes)

05

Step
5 mins

Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a 1-gallon pitcher to strain out the raspberry seeds and pulp. (If you prefer a stronger raspberry flavor, you can skip this step and leave the raspberries in the pitcher). (5 minutes)

06

Step
2 mins

Fill the pitcher with the remaining cold water. Stir well to combine. (2 minutes)

07

Step
1 hrs

Chill thoroughly in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. (60 minutes)

08

Step
5 mins

Serve over ice in frosty glasses, garnished with fresh mint sprigs, if desired. (5 minutes)

For a sweeter tea, increase the amount of sugar. For a tarter tea, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Feel free to experiment with different types of tea bags, such as black tea, green tea, or herbal tea.
If you don't have fresh raspberries, you can use frozen raspberries. Just thaw them slightly before adding them to the saucepan.
For a sparkling iced tea, use sparkling water instead of regular water.
