Follow The Directions

01

Step
7 mins

Render the Bacon: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until it's shrunken but still pliable, not yet crisp. (Approximately 5-7 minutes). Transfer the bacon to paper towels to drain excess fat.

02

Step
2 mins

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).

03

Step
5 mins

Prepare the Glaze and Wrap the Oysters: In a shallow baking dish, whisk together the sugar, dark soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined. Wrap each oyster with a piece of partially cooked bacon and secure with a toothpick.

04

Step
10 mins

Bake: Arrange the bacon-wrapped oysters in the baking dish, nestling them in the garlicky glaze. Bake in the preheated oven until the sauce has thickened and the bacon is delightfully crisp at the edges. (Approximately 10 minutes).

For an extra touch of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
Smoked oysters add a wonderful depth of flavor, but regular canned oysters will also work.
Be careful not to overbake; you want the oysters to be plump and juicy, not rubbery.
Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
