Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, whipped topping, and powdered sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and fully incorporated. (Approximately 3-5 minutes)

02

Step

Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture along the bottom of a pie plate or serving dish. Place the dish in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the pecan topping. (Approximately 15 minutes)

03

Step

In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, cold butter pieces, light corn syrup, chopped pecans, vanilla extract, egg, and kosher salt.

04

Step

Place the saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring constantly to prevent burning. (Approximately 5-7 minutes)

05

Step

Once boiling, continue to cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool for 10 minutes. (Approximately 10 minutes)

06

Step

After cooling, stir the pecan mixture well. Pour the pecan mixture evenly over the chilled cream cheese base.

07

Step

Serve immediately for a warm dip, or refrigerate until ready to serve for a chilled delight. (Approximately 30 minutes for chilling)

For an even richer flavor, toast the pecans lightly before chopping.
If you prefer a thicker dip, reduce the amount of corn syrup slightly.
Feel free to experiment with different serving options! Cinnamon-sugar pita chips or even ginger snaps would be fantastic.
