Recipe View Deflate the dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured work surface; knead lightly. Place the dough onto the prepared baking sheet and shape into an oval about 1/2-inch thick. Let rest for a third rise for about 30 minutes.

For a softer crust, brush the baked lepinja with melted butter immediately after removing it from the oven.
If you don't have a warm place for the dough to rise, you can preheat your oven to the lowest setting, then turn it off and place the dough inside.
Lepinja is traditionally served with cevapi (grilled minced meat), but it's also delicious with stews, dips, or as a simple bread on its own.
