Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Prepare Ingredients (5 minutes): Gather all ingredients and ensure pork chops are patted dry.

02

Step
5 mins

Sear Pork Chops (5 minutes): Place pork chops into a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot).

03

Step
2 mins

Add Flavor (2 minutes): Dot butter over the pork chops, then sprinkle evenly with the dry onion soup mix. Pour in the apple juice.

04

Step
40 mins

Pressure Cook (25-55 minutes): Close and lock the lid of the Instant Pot. Select high pressure and set the timer for 5 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build. Once the timer is up, allow a natural pressure release for 10 to 40 minutes.

05

Step
2 mins

Serve (2 minutes): Carefully remove the pork chops from the Instant Pot. Serve immediately with your favorite sides. Spoon the flavorful sauce from the pot over the chops.

For extra flavor, consider browning the pork chops in the Instant Pot before adding the other ingredients. Use the 'Sauté' function and sear for about 2 minutes per side.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, after removing the pork chops, select the 'Sauté' function and simmer the remaining liquid for a few minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
Bone-in pork chops will result in a richer flavor, but boneless chops can also be used. Adjust the cooking time accordingly, reducing it slightly for thinner, boneless chops.
Ensure natural pressure release to maintain moisture and tenderness, or you will dry out the porkchops.
