Follow The Directions

01

Step
30 mins

Place the ice cubes into a high-powered blender. Pulse until the ice is crushed and resembles a snow-like consistency. (approx. 30 seconds)

02

Step
1 hrs

Add the slightly thawed orange juice concentrate, whole milk, heavy cream, peeled ripe banana, granulated sugar, large egg, powdered non-dairy creamer, and vanilla extract to the blender. (approx. 1 minute)

03

Step
2 hrs

Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth, creamy, and frothy. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the blender if necessary to ensure all ingredients are fully incorporated. (approx. 1-2 minutes)

04

Step

Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Garnish with an orange slice or a dusting of nutmeg, if desired.

For an extra frosty treat, freeze the banana beforehand.
Adjust the amount of sugar to your liking, depending on the sweetness of the orange juice concentrate and banana.
If you're concerned about using a raw egg, you can substitute it with 2 tablespoons of pasteurized egg product or leave it out altogether. The egg contributes to the creamy texture.
For a dairy-free version, use almond milk or soy milk and coconut cream instead of heavy cream.
A high-powered blender is recommended to achieve the smoothest consistency. If your blender isn't as strong, you may need to blend for a longer period.

I was skeptical about the egg, but it really makes a difference in the texture. So creamy and delicious!
