Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat bottom and sides of a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step
10 mins

Pour cookie mix into a large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly and coarse. Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumb mixture; press remaining crumbs into the bottom of the prepared baking pan. (10 minutes)

03

Step
8 mins

Bake crust in the preheated oven for 8 minutes. Remove partially baked crust and leave oven on. (8 minutes)

04

Step
7 mins

Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, flour, and vanilla extract together in a bowl using electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. (5 minutes)

05

Step
2 mins

Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the partially baked crust. Spread cherry pie filling over cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top. (5 minutes)

06

Step
35 mins

Bake in the preheated oven until light golden brown on top, about 35 minutes. Cool about 30 minutes. Refrigerate to chill, about 2 hours. Cut into 16 to 20 bars. (3 hours and 5 minutes)

For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar in the cheesecake filling.
If you prefer a less sweet dessert, reduce the amount of sugar in the cheesecake filling.
To prevent the crust from burning, you can cover the baking pan with aluminum foil during the last 15 minutes of baking.
These bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
