Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

**Prepare the Meat (5 minutes):** For ham, score the surface in a diamond pattern, and stud with whole cloves at the intersections. For turkey, proceed directly to the glaze preparation.

02

Step
10 mins

**Combine and Simmer (10 minutes):** In a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the cranberry sauce, orange zest, brown sugar, red wine, and Dijon mustard. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are incorporated.

03

Step
15 mins

**Bring to a Boil and Reduce (15 minutes):** Place the saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for approximately 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze has thickened slightly and the flavors have melded.

04

Step

**Glaze and Roast (Varies):** During the last 30 minutes of roasting your ham or turkey, brush half of the glaze evenly over the surface of the meat. Repeat with the remaining glaze during the last 15 minutes of roasting. This will create a beautiful, glossy finish.

For a deeper flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the glaze.
If using cranberry liqueur, reduce the amount of red wine by half.
Make the glaze ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before using.
