Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a medium bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, dried cranberries, sugar, Dijon mustard, salt, crushed garlic, and a generous grind of black pepper. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Whisk vigorously until the sugar and salt are fully dissolved and the mixture is well combined. (1 minute)

03

Step

Slowly drizzle in the extra-virgin olive oil while continuously whisking. (3 minutes)

04

Step

Continue whisking until the vinaigrette is emulsified and slightly thickened. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Remove the garlic clove before serving. (1 minute)

For a smoother vinaigrette, consider using a blender or immersion blender to emulsify the ingredients.
The vinaigrette can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Bring to room temperature and whisk before serving.
Experiment with different types of balsamic vinegar to find your preferred flavor profile. A white balsamic will offer a milder taste and lighter color.
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
Try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
