For a deeper smoky flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika along with the sweet paprika. Adjust the amount of red chile pepper to suit your desired level of spiciness. A pinch of chili flakes can also be used. If you prefer a chunkier sauce, you can skip the blending step or pulse the immersion blender briefly to retain some texture. This sauce is excellent on grilled chicken, ribs, pulled pork, and even vegetables. It also makes a great dipping sauce.

Mar 6, 2025I found the sauce a little too spicy for my taste, so I reduced the amount of cayenne pepper. It was perfect! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
