Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat (about 375-450°F) and lightly oil the grate. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Thread the chicken, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and onion pieces onto the skewers, alternating ingredients to create a colorful and balanced presentation. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Place the skewers on the preheated grill, turning frequently and basting generously with barbecue sauce. (1 minute)

04

Step

Continue cooking, turning and basting every 2-3 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 12-15 minutes total. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of a chicken cube should register 165°F (74°C). (15 minutes)

05

Step

Remove the kabobs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful bite.

For best results, use high-quality barbecue sauce with a flavor profile you enjoy. Sweet, smoky, or spicy sauces all work well.
If using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent them from burning.
Feel free to add other vegetables to your kabobs, such as zucchini, cherry tomatoes, or mushrooms.
Serve the chicken kabobs with a side of rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the barbecue sauce.

The BBQ sauce I used was a bit too strong, I will use a milder one next time.

I used chicken thighs instead of breasts, and they were even more tender and flavorful.
