For an extra rich flavor, use melted butter instead of softened butter for spreading. If you don't have pecans, walnuts or even shredded coconut work well in the topping. To make these ahead, assemble the rolls, cover tightly, and refrigerate overnight. Let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before baking.
