Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

In a mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes, or until the yeast softens and begins to foam.

02

Step
5 mins

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, whisk together the all-purpose flour, bread flour, sugar, and salt. Pour in the canola oil, olive oil, and the yeast mixture. Mix on low speed until the dough comes together and pulls away from the sides of the bowl (5 minutes).

03

Step
10 mins

Increase the mixer speed to medium and knead for 10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.

04

Step
1 hrs

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and form it into a ball. Place the dough ball in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

05

Step
45 mins

Gently punch down the dough to release the air. Divide the dough in half and form each half into a ball. Cover the dough balls with a clean kitchen towel and let rest for 45 minutes.

06

Step
5 mins

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). On a lightly floured surface, roll out each dough ball into a 12-inch round pizza crust.

07

Step
5 mins

Transfer the crusts to baking sheets or pizza stones. Add your favorite toppings.

08

Step
21 mins

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-24 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the toppings are cooked through. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

For a crispier crust, preheat a pizza stone in the oven before baking.
If you don't have a stand mixer, you can knead the dough by hand on a lightly floured surface for 10-12 minutes.
For a richer flavor, substitute honey for the sugar.
The dough can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Bring to room temperature before using.
