Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the broiler.

02

Step

In a large saucepan over medium heat, whisk together hoisin sauce, barbecue sauce, ginger, and 1 tablespoon sesame oil. (2 minutes)

03

Step

Mix in turkey, salt, pepper, and half of the green onions, gently tossing until all ingredients are well blended. Cook for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through. (10 minutes)

04

Step

In a small bowl, mix the remaining sesame oil and remaining green onions.

05

Step

Brush the cut sides of the English muffins lightly with the sesame-scallion mixture. Place the muffin halves face up on a medium baking sheet.

06

Step

Broil English muffins for 2 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Watch carefully to prevent burning. (2 minutes)

07

Step

Remove from heat and generously top with the turkey mixture. Serve warm immediately.

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the turkey mixture.
Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for the chopped turkey meat.
If you don't have English muffins, use baguette slices or any other sturdy bread.
Garnish with sesame seeds for extra flavor
