Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your air fryer to 280°F (138°C) according to the manufacturer's instructions. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Thoroughly wash the kale and remove the leaves from the tough central ribs. Discard the ribs. Ensure the kale leaves are completely dry; use a salad spinner or pat them dry with paper towels. Tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces. (10 minutes)

03

Step

In a large bowl, gently massage the kale leaves with olive oil until they are evenly and lightly coated. Season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Add the chili-lime seasoning and toss to distribute evenly. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Working in batches to avoid overcrowding, arrange the kale pieces in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket. Air fry for 5 minutes. Shake the basket and continue to air fry for another 3 minutes. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese evenly over the kale, shake the basket again, and air fry until the chips are crispy and the cheese is melted and slightly golden, about 2 minutes more. (10 minutes per batch)

05

Step

Transfer the kale chips to a serving bowl and sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy the satisfying crunch!

Drying the kale thoroughly is crucial for achieving crispy chips. Excess moisture will result in soggy kale.
Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket, as this will steam the kale instead of crisping it. Work in batches for best results.
Keep a close eye on the kale during the final minutes of cooking, as air fryers can vary in temperature and the chips can burn quickly.
For a vegan option, substitute nutritional yeast for Parmesan cheese.
Feel free to experiment with other seasonings, such as garlic powder, smoked paprika, or cayenne pepper.
