Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Ensure all refrigerated ingredients are at room temperature. (Prep time: 5 minutes)

02

Step

Slice the top off the garlic head, exposing the cloves. Place in a square of aluminum foil, drizzle with olive oil, and wrap the foil tightly around the garlic. (Prep time: 2 minutes)

03

Step

Roast in the preheated oven until the garlic is tender and fragrant, approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Allow the roasted garlic to cool completely. (Roasting time: 35-40 minutes)

04

Step

In a food processor, combine the Camembert cheese, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, Cheddar cheese, beer, and butter. Process until the mixture is smooth and creamy. (Processing time: 3-5 minutes)

05

Step

Add the roasted garlic cloves (squeeze them out of their skins), minced onion, caraway seeds, and paprika to the food processor. Process again until everything is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth. (Processing time: 2-3 minutes)

06

Step

The mixture may appear slightly loose, but it will firm up as it chills. Transfer the cheese spread to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld together beautifully. (Chill time: 2+ hours)

For an extra layer of flavor, try using a smoked paprika instead of regular paprika.
If you don't have German-style beer, any lager will work well.
Serve with soft pretzels, rye bread, or crackers for dipping.
Consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper for a touch of heat.
