For a richer flavor, use roasted vegetable broth. Any type of small pasta shape will work well in this recipe. Feel free to add other vegetables, such as diced carrots or bell peppers. To make it non-vegan, substitute Italian sausage for the vegan sausage, and parmesan cheese for the nutritional yeast.
