Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Generously spray a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, combine the pork sausage and brown sugar. Cook, breaking up the sausage with a spoon, until it's evenly browned and no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease and transfer the sausage to a bowl. Wipe the skillet clean. (10-12 minutes)

03

Step

Melt the butter in the cleaned skillet over low heat. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Let the eggs cook undisturbed for a moment until they begin to set around the edges. Then, gently stir until the curds are set but still moist, about 5 to 7 minutes. (10 minutes)

04

Step

Unroll the crescent roll dough and carefully arrange 3/4 of the dough to line the bottom and sides of the prepared loaf pan, pressing the seams together to create a solid crust. Layer the cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, and shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese evenly into the pan. Top with the remaining 1/4 of the dough, pinching the corners and sides together to seal. (15 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the loaf is golden brown and cooked through, approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving. (30 minutes)

For extra flavor, sauté diced onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms with the sausage.
Use different cheeses, such as cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack, to customize the flavor profile.
Prepare the sausage and egg mixture the night before for an even quicker morning assembly.
For a sweeter loaf, drizzle a bit of maple syrup over the top before baking.
