Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Prepare your sous vide water bath: Fill a large pot with water and insert your sous vide immersion circulator. Set the temperature to 135°F (57°C) following the manufacturer's instructions. (5 minutes)

02

Step
2 mins

Season and prepare the shrimp: In a bowl, gently toss the shrimp with the Creole seasoning until evenly coated. (2 minutes)

03

Step
5 mins

Vacuum seal the ingredients: Arrange the seasoned shrimp in a single layer within a large vacuum seal bag. Distribute the lemon zest, thyme sprigs, and chilled butter slices evenly over the shrimp. Seal the bag using a vacuum sealer. (5 minutes)

04

Step
1 mins

Sous vide the shrimp: Carefully submerge the sealed bag into the preheated water bath. Ensure the bag is fully submerged to cook evenly. Set a timer for 30 minutes. (1 minute)

05

Step
2 mins

Serve: Once the timer goes off, remove the bag from the water bath. Carefully open the bag and transfer the cooked shrimp to a serving dish. If desired, sprinkle with a touch more Creole seasoning to taste. Serve immediately and enjoy the perfectly cooked, flavorful shrimp. (2 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a clove of minced garlic to the bag before sealing.
If you don't have a vacuum sealer, you can use a zip-top bag and the water displacement method to remove the air.
Adjust the Creole seasoning to your preference. Some brands are spicier than others.
Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
Consider serving the shrimp over a bed of creamy grits or pasta for a complete meal.
