Cover the slow cooker and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours, or on High for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for doneness; it should register at least 165°F (74°C) when inserted into the thickest part of a thigh. (360-480 minutes or 180-240 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat for a few minutes before adding them to the sauce.
If the sauce appears too thin after cooking, you can thicken it by removing the chicken thighs and whisking in a cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water). Cook on High for 15-20 minutes, or until thickened.
Garnish with extra sesame seeds and chopped green onions for a vibrant presentation.
