For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar. Toast the pecan halves before adding them to the bars for a more intense nutty flavor. If you don't have milk chocolate chips, you can use semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips. To make the bars easier to cut, chill them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before cutting.
