Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Key Lime Mustard Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lime juice, Dijon mustard, and sugar until smooth. Add 2 dashes of hot pepper sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Refrigerate: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the Key lime mustard sauce for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld. (120 minutes)

03

Step

Prepare the Shrimp Boil: In a large saucepan or stockpot, combine the beer, lemon juice, seafood seasoning, 12 dashes of hot pepper sauce, chopped garlic, cayenne pepper, and ground black pepper. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Bring to a Boil: Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over high heat. (10 minutes)

05

Step

Add Shrimp: Once boiling, add the raw shrimp to the pot. (2 minutes)

06

Step

Cook the Shrimp: Cook the shrimp until they turn bright pink on the outside and the meat is no longer transparent in the center, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to overcook them. (2 minutes)

07

Step

Drain and Serve: Immediately drain the shrimp and serve hot with the chilled Key lime mustard sauce. Alternatively, chill the shrimp and serve cold with the sauce.

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding sliced andouille sausage, corn on the cob, and small red potatoes to the shrimp boil.
Adjust the amount of hot pepper sauce to your preference. Start with less and add more to reach your desired level of spiciness.
Freshly squeezed lime juice makes a big difference in the Key lime mustard sauce. Avoid using bottled lime juice for the best flavor.
Serve with extra lemon wedges for squeezing over the shrimp.
Make sure the shrimp is deveined.
