Follow The Directions

01

Step
10 mins

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until it crumbles and is nearly cooked through (approximately 5-7 minutes). Drain off any excess grease, then reduce the heat to medium. Add the chopped celery, green onions, and diced tomato. Cook until the celery is tender and the beef is nicely browned (about 5 minutes).

02

Step
7 mins

While the beef is cooking, in a separate saucepan, bring the beef broth to a boil. Once boiling, stir in the bulgur wheat, cover the saucepan, and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for approximately 10 minutes, or until the bulgur wheat is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.

03

Step
1 mins

Combine the cooked bulgur wheat with the beef and vegetable mixture in the skillet. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed. Season with salt and cayenne pepper to your liking. Adjust the seasonings to taste (about 2 minutes).

For a richer flavor, consider using homemade beef broth. You can also add a bay leaf to the broth while simmering the bulgur for added depth.
Feel free to experiment with different vegetables, such as bell peppers, carrots, or mushrooms, to customize the dish to your liking.
If you prefer a less spicy dish, omit the cayenne pepper or reduce the amount used.
