For extra richness, consider adding a tablespoon of butter to the sauce during the last 15 minutes of cooking. If the sauce becomes too thick during simmering, add a tablespoon or two of chicken broth or water to thin it out. For a deeper flavor, brown a diced onion in the skillet before browning the pork chops. Remove the onion before browning the chops, then add it back to the skillet along with the sauce.
