For a smoky variation, add 1 teaspoon of liquid smoke to the sauce.
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar to taste.
This sauce can also be used as a glaze for chicken, pork, or even salmon.
The sauce will thicken slightly as it cools.
