Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish with butter. Arrange uncooked egg noodles evenly in the prepared dish. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, chopped onion, and diced celery. Cook, breaking up the beef with a spoon, until the beef is browned and the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes. Drain off any excess grease. (10 minutes)

03

Step

In the same skillet, stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, sliced mushrooms, and milk. Mix until well combined and heated through. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Pour the beef and soup mixture evenly over the uncooked noodles in the casserole dish. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the aluminum foil and sprinkle the chopped salted cashews evenly over the top of the casserole. (3 minutes)

06

Step

Continue baking, uncovered, until the casserole is bubbling and the noodles are tender, about 30 minutes more. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving. (35 minutes)

For a richer flavor, use ground beef with a higher fat content. Be sure to drain off any excess grease after browning.
Feel free to substitute other types of nuts for the cashews, such as walnuts or pecans.
To add a touch of freshness, garnish with chopped parsley or chives before serving.
For a vegetarian option, replace the ground beef with plant-based ground meat substitute.
