Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large skillet or wok, melt the butter over medium-low heat. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until they turn pink and are cooked through. (Approximately 5 minutes)

03

Step

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the water and cornstarch until smooth to create a slurry.

04

Step

Pour the cornstarch slurry into the skillet with the shrimp and butter. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency. (3-5 minutes)

05

Step

Season the garlic butter shrimp with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust the garlic powder if desired.

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or a squeeze of lemon juice to the finished dish.
Freshly minced garlic can be substituted for garlic powder. Saute minced garlic in butter until fragrant before adding the shrimp
Serve immediately over rice, pasta, or crusty bread to soak up all that delicious sauce.
