Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

If bacon hasn't been pre-cooked: Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned. Drain bacon slices on paper towels. Crumble. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Place Cheddar cheese into the bottom of the prepared dish and sprinkle with flour. Toss together with your fingers to distribute evenly. Sprinkle bacon evenly over the cheese. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Beat eggs, milk, salt, pepper, seasoned salt, dry mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika in a bowl until well combined. Pour over the bacon and cheese. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Bake, uncovered, in the preheated oven until the center is set and the top has browned, about 45 minutes. (45 minutes)

06

Step

Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting and serving. (5 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a layer of sautéed onions and peppers before the cheese.
Feel free to substitute the cheddar cheese with your favorite cheese blend. Gruyere, Monterey Jack, or Pepper Jack would all be delicious!
This casserole can be assembled the night before. Simply cover and refrigerate, then bake as directed in the morning. You may need to add 10-15 minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
Ensure bacon is crispy for best results. This prevents a soggy texture in the final casserole.
To test for doneness, insert a knife into the center of the casserole. If it comes out clean, the casserole is ready.
