Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

Prepare the patties: Cut the crust off the sandwich bread and tear the bread into small pieces. In a medium bowl, mix the bread pieces with milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Add the ground beef and gently mix until just incorporated. Avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender. Shape the mixture into 2 equal patties, about 1/2-inch thick. Use your thumb to make a shallow indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Air fry the burgers: Place the patties in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Flip the patties and continue cooking for another 8 to 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F (70 degrees C) for medium doneness. (20 minutes)

04

Step

Melt the cheese: Top each patty with a slice of cheese and return them to the air fryer for 20 to 30 seconds, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. (1 minute)

05

Step

Assemble and serve: Place the cheeseburgers on the brioche buns and add your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and condiments. Serve immediately and enjoy! (5 minutes)

For extra flavor, try adding a dash of Worcestershire sauce or Dijon mustard to the ground beef mixture.
If you prefer your burgers more well-done, cook them for a few additional minutes, checking the internal temperature with a meat thermometer.
To prevent sticking, lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil before adding the patties.
Experiment with different types of cheese and toppings to create your own signature cheeseburger.
These air fryer cheeseburgers can also be made with ground turkey or chicken.
