Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your air fryer to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C). (Approximately 2 minutes)

02

Step

In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, flour, and apple pie spice. Mix well to ensure there are no lumps. (Approximately 2 minutes)

03

Step

In a medium bowl, place the apple wedges. Drizzle the melted butter over the apples and toss gently to coat them evenly. (Approximately 3 minutes)

04

Step

Arrange the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd them. Sprinkle the pecan-brown sugar mixture evenly over the apples. (Approximately 3 minutes)

05

Step

Cook in the preheated air fryer until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown and slightly caramelized, 10 to 15 minutes. Check for doneness by piercing an apple wedge with a fork – it should be easily pierced but not mushy. (Approximately 15 minutes)

06

Step

Carefully remove the apple wedges from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving. They are delicious served warm on their own, over vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt, or alongside roasted pork or chicken.

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a pinch of sea salt to the pecan mixture.
If you don't have apple pie spice, you can use a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of allspice.
For a dairy-free version, substitute the butter with melted coconut oil or a plant-based butter alternative.
Adjust cooking time depending on the wattage of your air fryer.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer or microwave before serving.

My apples were a little too soft after 15 minutes, so I would suggest checking them after 10 minutes depending on your air fryer.

I added a splash of maple syrup to the apple wedges before topping them with the pecan mixture, and it was incredible!
