For a smoother hummus, peel the skins off the garbanzo beans before blending. Adjust the amount of garlic and lemon juice to your taste preference. If the hummus is too thick, add a tablespoon or two of cold water until you reach your desired consistency. Store leftover hummus in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. The flavors will continue to develop over time.
