For an extra layer of flavor, try adding sautéed mushrooms or caramelized onions to the meatloaf mixture. If you don't have Italian salad dressing on hand, you can substitute with a mixture of olive oil, vinegar, and Italian herbs. To prevent the meatloaf from sticking, lightly grease the loaf pan before pressing in the mixture. Meatloaf can be prepared a day in advance. Wrap well and refrigerate until ready to bake. Add 10-15 minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
