Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Preheat oven to 200 degrees F (95 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

In a medium, nonporous bowl, whisk together the sea salt, liquid smoke, garlic powder, monosodium glutamate, onion powder, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. (5 minutes)

03

Step
15 mins

Add the sliced meat to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Arrange the marinated meat slices in a single layer on two 10x15 inch baking sheets, making sure the slices do not overlap. (15 minutes)

04

Step
8 hrs

Bake in the preheated oven for 4 hours. Flip the jerky and continue baking for another 4 hours, or until the jerky reaches your desired level of dryness. (8 hours)

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the marinade.
Ensure even slicing for uniform drying.
Use a meat mallet to tenderize the meat before marinating.
Store the finished jerky in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
For best results, use a convection oven if available, as it promotes more even drying.
