Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the breakfast sausage until crumbly, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain off any excess grease and let the sausage cool completely. (15 minutes)

03

Step

Open the cans of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. (5 minutes)

04

Step

In a large bowl, combine the biscuit pieces, cooled sausage, drained green chiles, and Colby-Jack cheese. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly distributed. Pour the mixture into a lightly greased fluted tube pan, pressing down gently to eliminate any air pockets. (10 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. If the top begins to brown too quickly, cover loosely with aluminum foil during the last 10-15 minutes of baking. (35 minutes)

06

Step

Remove the bread from the oven and let it rest in the pan for about 5 minutes before inverting it onto a serving plate. Allow it to cool for another 5 minutes before cutting and serving. (10 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of garlic powder or onion powder to the sausage while it's browning.
Feel free to substitute the Colby-Jack cheese with your favorite cheese blend, such as cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a spicy pepper jack for a kick.
This bread is best served warm, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
You can prepare the mixture ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator overnight. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
