Sifting the confectioners' sugar is crucial for achieving an ultra-smooth, lump-free frosting.
Adjust the amount of heavy cream to reach your desired consistency. Add more for a softer frosting or less for a firmer one.
Store the frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Let it come to room temperature before using, and re-whip briefly to restore its creamy texture.
Optional: For a richer, darker flavor, add 1-2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder along with the confectioners' sugar.
