Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave until melted, about 1 1/2 minutes, and stir well. Add almond flour, salt, oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper. Use your hands to form a dough. Incorporate the beaten egg until well combined. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Spray two large sheets of parchment paper with cooking spray. Place the dough on one sheet and cover with the other. Flatten the dough into a 10-inch round using your hands or a rolling pin. Remove the top parchment paper and transfer the bottom sheet with the dough to a baking sheet. Pierce the dough with a fork to prevent rising. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the crust begins to brown, approximately 12 to 17 minutes. (15 minutes)

05

Step

While the crust bakes, place the chorizo in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a paper towel. Microwave in 1-minute intervals, stirring after each, until cooked through. (3 minutes)

06

Step

Remove the pizza crust from the oven and top with 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, chorizo, salsa, and diced onion. Bake for another 4 to 6 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. (5 minutes)

07

Step

Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves before serving.

For a crispier crust, pre-bake the crust slightly longer.
Adjust the amount of chorizo and salsa to your preference.
Feel free to experiment with other keto-friendly toppings, such as bell peppers, mushrooms, or olives.

The key is to really flatten the dough thin. Mine was a little too thick the first time, but still yummy.

The crust was surprisingly crispy and held up really well. I added some jalapenos for an extra kick!
