Once the cooking cycle is complete, carefully perform a Quick Release according to your Instant Pot's instructions. Be cautious of the steam! This should take about 5 minutes. (5 minutes)

Using two forks, shred the chicken directly in the Instant Pot. The chicken should be incredibly tender and easily shredded. (5 minutes)

For optimal moisture, store the shredded chicken in an airtight container along with some of the cooking liquid from the Instant Pot. This will prevent the chicken from drying out. (2 minutes)

For added flavor, consider adding a bay leaf or some herbs (such as thyme or rosemary) to the Instant Pot.
Don't overcook the chicken! 20 minutes is usually perfect, but adjust the cooking time slightly depending on the thickness of the chicken breasts.
If you prefer, you can use a natural pressure release instead of a quick release, but it will take longer for the pressure to dissipate.
