For a richer flavor, use premium ice cream sandwiches with a higher butterfat content. Experiment with different flavors of ice cream sandwiches, such as chocolate, cookies and cream, or mint chocolate chip. Substitute other nuts like pecans, walnuts, or almonds for the peanuts, or use a combination of nuts. Add a sprinkle of sea salt over the top for an extra burst of salty-sweet flavor. If you don't have caramel topping, you can make your own homemade caramel sauce. For easier cutting, dip your knife in warm water between slices.
