For a richer flavor, try using brown sugar instead of white sugar.
Add a splash of brandy or rum to the pumpkin mixture for an extra layer of warmth.
If you don't have semolina, you can substitute with all-purpose flour, but the texture will be slightly different.
A sprinkle of chopped walnuts or pecans on top before baking adds a delightful crunch.
